Privacy Policy - MU REALM
1. Introduction
This policy explains what MU REALM, run by MU Realm, collects about you, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. What we collect
- When you register: your login, your e-mail address and your password, which is stored only as a hash.
- When you play: your characters, items, game progress, chat sent through the website's global chat, and the IP address you connect from.
- When you donate: the payment confirmation from the payment provider (order number, amount, date). We never see or store card details.
- When you write to support: what you send us.
3. Cookies and browser storage
- A session cookie keeps you signed in on the website.
- The browser's session storage keeps a copy of your account panel for the open tab, so pages open faster. It is gone when the tab closes.
- Google Analytics sets its own cookies (_ga and _ga_*) to count visits and see which pages are used, so we can improve the website. It tells us how the site is used, not who you are, and we use no advertising cookies.
4. How we use it
To run your account and the game, to keep it safe (for example to stop cheating, abuse and fraud), to credit donations and to answer your questions. Character names, guilds and game results are public on the rankings and character pages; your login, e-mail and IP address are never shown on the website.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your data. It is shared only with the services that run the server for us (the hosting provider and, for donations, the payment provider), and with the authorities when the law requires it.
6. Children
The service is not meant for children under 13. If you are under 16, ask a parent before you register.
7. Security and keeping data
Passwords are stored as hashes and the website is served only over HTTPS. We keep account data while the account exists; game logs are kept as long as they are needed to keep the game fair.
8. Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete your account and its data. Write to our support team in the #support channel of our Discord (join the Discord); we may ask you to prove the account is yours from its registered e-mail.
9. Changes
We may change this policy. The current text is always on this page.
